Alexander Victor Kuklinski passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at his home in Paw Paw, Michigan. Al was born to John and Catherine Kuklinski on March 6, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. A true gentleman, he lived a storybook life filled with excitement, but wasn’t boastful about all of the amazing adventures it took him on. An Air Force Veteran, Al served from 1948-1957 where he instructed airmen on missile guidance systems and was a humble yet well-respected member of the service. A man of many talents, Al purchased a 40-acre farm in 1960 where he grew asparagus, was an electrician at Western Michigan University and in the state of Indiana and a founding member of the Paw Paw Chapter of the Lions Club. A true passion for racehorses, Al was a member of the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association and his horse, Valentime, brought many years of joy to his life. Throughout his life, you could find Al swinging his clubs on the golf course and as an avid sports fan, watching any and all games from his favorite chair. The love he had for his family was unmatched and he had a twinkle in his eye every time his wife, Elaine, entered the room. He loved sharing stories of his life experiences with his family over a well-made Manhattan.
Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, E. Elaine (Parker) Kuklinski and children Rhonda Snowaert (Roy Gruver) (Mike Evers), Steven (Marcie) Snowaert and Joseph S. Snowaert (Jamie Moon). Grandpa K will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kylie (Lee) Bunting, Joseph P. Snowaert, Angelo Siniagalli and Ella and Lillian Moon. He is also survived by his brother Eugene (Nancy) Kuklinski, niece Karen (Mike) Abruzzo and their children Matthew, Jake and Mia, and nephew Steven (Cameo) Kuklinski. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cyndi Pare.
A celebration of life will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Guests are invited to share memories of Al as we honor his long life well lived. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Paw Paw District Library, a place that allowed Al to continue reading throughout his life. A check can be sent to the attention of Jennifer O’Donnell at 609 W Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, MI 49079. Please note that your contribution is in honor of Al Kuklinski.
