passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Paw Paw, MI. Al was born October 3, 1933 in New Orleans, LA. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Louisiana to begin what would be a 24 year career with DOW Chemical. Albert was a skilled wood worker and a terrible flirt. He was also a Southerner and a gentleman. He graced his family with a legacy of hard work, generosity and love and for that we are eternally grateful. Al Day is survived by his daughter, Mary Day of Paw Paw, MI; son, Michael Day of Turkey Creek, LA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Theriot of Yukon, OK . He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Gilbreth Day and his brother John Day. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
